Hi, I’m Paolo.
Growing up in the small town of Ogliastra, located on the beautiful Italian island of Sardinia, with 3 older brothers all being Chefs, a career in the catering industry seemed to be inevitable for me. At the tender age of 16, I decided to relocate to London in search of some much needed experience in order to thrive in my career. After learning the basics in a small restaurant in Hampstead, I then decided to go and further my culinary skills by moving into the French and Oriental cuisines. I cherish the skills and techniques gained from these experiences and look to incorporate them in all of my dishes to date.
At the age of 22 I became head chef at one of the top Italian restaurants in Knightsbridge, for just over 4 years. Since then, I’ve worked for several restaurants in Chelsea, Green park and St Paul’s, cooking for the likes of Naomi Campbell, Roberto Di Matteo and George Graham. The highlight of my career, so far, came in 2012 when i was voted ‘The Foscars- Best Chef’ by YJ Punkurst, former editor of The MasterChef magazine.
Given my passion and love of food, it’s now a pleasure to be apart of the Fantozzi family; and we are confident our customers will continue to enjoy the ‘Fantozzi’ experience.
